BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background: 

On February 26, 2019, the Board approved the ranking of Request for Proposal #19-159, Design - Burnt Store Water Reclamation Facility Replacement/Expansion, allowing the start of negotiations and authorizing the Chairman to sign the contract after completion of negotiations.

 

On July 23, 2019, the contract was formally executed (signed) by McKim & Creed, Inc. On June 11, 2024, the Board made the official action to cancel the Expansion bid. And Utilities has now requested to cancel/close this design contract per Contract, Section Article 7, Term/Termination, Item 7.3.
