BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This is for an engineering firm to perform various tasks, as needed, regarding Regulatory Compliance pertaining to the water system for Charlotte County Utilities. On an annual basis, a professional engineering firm assists CCU with managing and maintaining the water regulatory compliance requirements for facilities and systems it owns and operates. The regulatory requirements include those established and enforced by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
The complete scope of services, along with the associated fees, is attached. Utilities has reviewed and approves the scope and fee submitted and recommends award to Kimley-Horn & Associates, for the not-to-exceed amount of $230,000.
