No action needed. Budgeted in the Heavy Equipment Replacement Plan as approved in the FY26 budget process. Funding is supplied from the Vehicle Replacement fund and will be charged to Public Works, Maintenance & Operations division.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The original purchase and delivery of an Alpha Eagle 33FT Boom Mower to be utilized by Public Works, replacing PN# 34133 was approved by the Board on 6/10/2025. The prices, terms, conditions, and specifications are from the statewide Florida Sheriff's Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract # FSA20-EQU18.0, Heavy Equipment.
The Change order is needed due to a price increase that took effect on 5/1/2025. The Price increase is due to tariffs on imported items.
Therefore, it is in the best interest of Charlotte County to approve Change Order #1 to Piggyback, #25-484, Energreen Alpha Eagle 33FT Boom Mower, for an additional $32,730.88, which was awarded to Energreen America Inc. of Aiken, South Carolina for a total of $362,539.64.
