Approve award of Request for Bid #25-304, Mechanical Integrity Tests - Class I Wells to Florida Design Drilling, LLC of West Palm Beach, Florida for the total amount of $214,725. This is for the cost of Mechanical Integrity Tests of multiple Charlotte County Utilities Injections Wells.

No Action Needed. Budget for this item comes from savings in various account lines budgeted in the Utilities Operations and Maintenance - Operations budget as approved in the FY2025 budget process. Funding for the expenditure comes from rate revenues.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background: 

It is the intent of Charlotte County to secure the services of a licensed well Contractor to perform Mechanical Integrity Tests for the following Charlotte County Utilities injection wells: Burnt Store IW-1 at Burnt Store Water Treatment Plant and Water Reclamation Facility, East Port IW-2 at East Port Water Reclamation Facility, and West Port IW-1 at West Port Water Reclamation Facility.

 

Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the county to award Request for Bid #25-304, Mechanical Integrity Tests - Class I Wells to Florida Design Drilling, LLC of West Palm Beach, Florida for the total amount of $214,725

 

Completion time is 60 calendar days with a liquidated damages rate of $1,170 per calendar day.
