Recommended Action:
Set a public hearing for June 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. or as soon as may be heard, in Room 119 at 18500 Murdock Circle, Port Charlotte, Florida to consider a Resolution approving the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2026-2030 Consolidated Plan and 2026 Action Plan for public review and comment.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The CDBG Consolidated Plan and first-year Action Plan are due to Housing and Urban Development (HUD) by no later than August 15, 2026, in order to receive the 2026 allocation. The Consolidated Plan draft is being prepared for approval at the 06.23.2026 board meeting for submission to HUD following a 30-day period of public review and comment. At least one public hearing is required. Request a public hearing on 06.23.2026. Provided is the draft Resolution for consideration.
