Recommended Action:
a) Approved ranking of firms for Request for Proposal #26-129, Design - Zemel Road Landfill Operations Building: 1st: ADG Architecture, LLC, of Fort Myers, Florida, 2nd: RG Architects, P.A., of Fort Myers, Florida, 3rd: C. Alan Anderson Architect, P.A., of Sarasota, Florida; and
b) Approve start of negotiations; and
c) Authorize the Chairman to sign the contracts after completion of negotiations, if contract does not exceed the amount of $500,000.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Capital Improvement Project “Solid Waste Landfill Operations Building Zemel Road” as approved in the FY26 budget process. Funding is provided from Landfill Fees.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Charlotte County is seeking design services for a firm to perform professional planning and design services of Solid Waste Landfill Operations and Maintenance building.
Eight (8) proposals were received and evaluated by the Professional Services Committee consisting of Teresa VanderWagg, Facilities Manager, Facilities Management, Richard Allen, Solid Waste Operations Manager, Public Works, and Lonne Moore, Projects Manager, Community Services. Copies of proposals received are attached along with the breakdown of ranking.
