Background:
body
In cooperation with our Sheriff’s Department, Public Works would like to pursue the adoption of an ordinance that prohibits oversized vehicles from parking in the county-maintained rights-of-way. This measure addresses safety hazards, traffic flow disruptions, and environmental concerns caused by the increase of parking large trucks or trailers on county-maintained rights-of-way. The rule will be enforced through local law enforcement with penalties for violations and allow exceptions for emergency vehicles and trucks engaged in emergency services or road maintenance.
