Recommended Action:
a) Approve Amendment 1 to Contract 23-654, Advanced Metering Infrastructure System Assessment Study, with E Source Companies LLC, of Boulder, Colorado, with no change in cost. This is for the additional effort required for evaluating the impacts of corrective actions and assisting with the implementation; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign Amendment 1.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Utilities Operations and Maintenance Fund - Administrative budget as approved in the FY2026 budget process. Funding for this expenditure comes from rate revenues.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This is for the professional services required for the Mueller AMI System Assessment Study. More specifically to provide a comprehensive study to determine the functionality of the existing infrastructure, devise a plan to enhance performance, and meet projected growth. for the Mueller AMI System Assessment Study. The contract was approved with E Source Companies LLC at a cost of $426,591.

During the Assessment phase, E Source and CCU identified the need for the County's current AMI solution provider, Mueller, to address system performance issues. The joint analysis uncovered several near-term corrective actions that required additional unplanned effort from E Source to support CCU and to incorporate the results into the AMI Assessment Report. This additional analysis was not anticipated at the start of the engagement.

The total cost associated with Amendment 1 is $0. Funds previously allocated to Task 3.4: Response Evaluation are no longer needed and will be repurposed to Task 4.1 Project Management to cover the additional effort required for evaluating the impac...
