No action needed. Budgeted in the Utility Capital Maintenance Plan, as approved in the FY21 budget process. Funding comes from the Utility Renewal and Replacement Fund.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this bid is to secure the services of a Contractor to furnish all material, labor, equipment and all other associated appurtenances required to successfully complete the construction of the replacement of Lift Station #2, the associated six (6”) inch wastewater forcemain and the eight (8”) inch watermain along Conway Boulevard as described in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall be responsible for traffic control, the restoration of existing street signs, traffic control signs, property corners, existing utilities or any other items disturbed during the construction.
After review and evaluation of the bid received, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the Construction of Lift Station #2 with a Forcemain and Watermain to the lowest responsive, responsible, bidder, Andrew Sitework, LLC of Fort Myers, Florida in the amount of $1,284,331.02.
Contract Time is 330 calendar days, with Liquidated Damages of $1,532 per calendar day.
