Recommended Action:
Set a Public Hearing on October 27, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, to consider the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) renewal application of Little Gasparilla Island Fire Rescue to provide emergency advanced life support and basic life support service throughout Little Gasparilla Island.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
On September 14, 2010 the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners entered into an agreement with Little Gasparilla Island Fire Rescue in order to provide 911 advanced life support services within Little Gasparilla Island. This agreement must be renewed every ten-years per County Ordinance 84-03 Sec. 2-3-49 and Sec. 2-3-52.
