Recommended Action:
Ratify the Proposal signed by the County Administrator for File #24-215, 9-1-1 Next Generation Core Services, which was awarded to Motorola of Chicago, Illinois on 01/09/2024 by the Board of County Commissioners as a “piggyback” per Sarasota County, Contract 201921KW, at the total cost of $2,351,019.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. Grant funding in the amount of $2,351,019 is included in the FY24 budget for Fund 1055, Enhanced 911 System. Grant funding will be provided by Florida Department of Management Services. There is no local match required.

Background:
The purpose for this request is to ratify the Proposal signed by the County Administrator for File #24-215, 9-1-1 Next Generation Core Services, which was awarded to Motorola of Chicago, Illinois on 01/09/2024 by the Board of County Commissioners as a “piggyback” per Sarasota County, Contract 201921KW. The authorization for the Chairman to sign the Proposal was inadvertently omitted from the original request for approval.
