REQUESTED MOTION/ACTION
recommendation
Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of Request for Bid #24-250, LED Light Fixtures - Annual Contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Rexel USA, Inc. of Sarasota, Florida at the unit prices indicated on the bid tabulation; and
b) Authorize the County Administrator to approve renewal options up to two (2) additional one-year terms at the same prices, terms, and conditions, by mutual consent. The initial contract period will be effective from Date of Award through and including December 31, 2024.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. Budgeted in the Lighting Fund - Public Works Engineering budget as approved in the FY2024 budget process. Funding for the expenditure comes from MSTU assessments.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This is an annual contract for the supply and delivery of two (2) types of Holophane Mongoose LED Light Fixtures to be purchased on an “as-required” basis to be utilized by the Public Works Lighting District department.
Therefore, it is in the County’s best interest to award Request for Bid #24-250, LED Light Fixtures - Annual Contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Rexel USA, Inc. of Sarasota, Florida at the unit prices indicated for the period from Date of Award through and including December 31, 2024 with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year terms at the same prices, terms, and conditions, by mutual consent.
