BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This is an annual contract for the services of a Contractor capable of performing right-of-way (ROW) maintenance, easements, drainage facilities, medians, tree-scaped streets and sidewalks, and County owned vacant lots in West and South County areas.
This change order is for addition of monthly landscape maintenance services for various areas in order to maintain the level of services required. Additional cleanup items and a replanting of materials at U.S. 17 at Cleveland.
Therefore, request approval of Change Order #1 to Contract #24-030, West and South County Right of Way Landscape Maintenance - Annual Contract as awarded to Walkers Service Inc. of Punta Gorda, Florida in the amount of $61,208.72.
