b) Approve Resolution for Budget Adjustment BA24-104 in the amount of $1,422,236.

Budgeted Action:
Approve Budget Adjustment BA24-104 in the amount of $1,422,236 to amend the FY24 Public Works MSBU/TU Bridges Capital Maintenance Plan for bridge rehabilitation. Funding is provided by South Gulf Cove Street and Drainage MSBU assessments.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this Bid is to secure the services of a Contractor to furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and all other appurtenances required to successfully complete the required South Gulf Cove bridge repairs on Keystone Boulevard over Santa Cruz Waterway (Bridge #014053), Appleton Boulevard over Santa Cruz Waterway (Bridge #014054), Keystone Boulevard over President Waterway (Bridge #014055), and Ingraham Boulevard over President Waterway (Bridge #014056).
After review and evaluation of the bids received, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the South Gulf Cove Bridge Rehabilitations #1 to the lowest responsive, responsible, bidder, Thomas Marine Construction, Incorporated of Fort Myers, Florida at the total cost of $4,590,209.62.
Contract Time is 345 calendar days, with Liquidated Damages of $2,579 per calendar day.
