BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

body

Background:

Public Works was approached by residents of River Club of Port Charlotte who raised issues with the amount of large truck thru traffic using Oakview Drive and Westchester Boulevard. They felt these large vehicles were a safety concern for the residents as well as a nuisance due to the loud noise from them traveling at high rates of speeds on these two roadways. The residents feel the vehicles should use Harborview Road and Kings Highway instead of traveling on these small residential neighborhood roads to get from or to the interstate.
