BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The Developer, Charlotte County Boat and RV Storage LLC, whose address is 2265 Auburn Blvd., Port Charlotte, Florida, is currently developing property located within Charlotte County and Charlotte County Utilities’ service area. The developed property includes a storage facility (the “Project”), which will require certain off-site improvements to the County’s sewer transmission system to connect the Project to County’s sewer system.
Developer has agreed to construct off-site sewer transmission system improvements needed to connect Developer’s property to County’s sewer system.
The County has requested the Developer increase the size of the wastewater force main to accommodate future County needs. The County desires to reimburse Developer for the cost of oversizing the wastewater force main.
The Board discussed the cost share project at the November 14, 2023 BCC meeting and approved Utilities to move forward with the Off-Site Utility Agreement.
