REQUESTED MOTION/ACTION

Recommended Action:
a) Approve File #24-319, for the purchase of one (1) 2024 E-One Rear Mounted Aerial Platform Apparatus on a Cyclone II Chassis, from Hall-mark RTC, Inc., of Ocala, Florida; piggybacking off the Florida Sheriff’s Association Contract #FSA23-VEF17.0, at the unit cost of $1,784,872.10; and
b) Authorize the trade in of one (1) 1995 Platform Apparatus (PN#28333) for a trade-in allowance of $60,000.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. Budgeted in the Heavy Equipment Replacement plan approved in the FY24 budget process. Funding is supplied from assessments in the Fire/Rescue Municipal Service Benefit Unit.

Background:
The purchase of the 2024 E-One Rear Mounted Aerial Platform Apparatus on a Cyclone II Chassis, will be piggybacking off the Florida Sheriff’s Association Contract #FSA23-VEF17.0, Rear Mounted Aerial Platform.
The Awarded Contractor has been contracted and agreed to honor pricing from Sheriff’s Association Contract, the acknowledgement of this piggyback purchase pricing and specifications are attached.
Authorized Trade-in Allowance: PN#28333 1995 Platform Apparatus $60,000
