Recommended Action:
a) Approve Amendment #2 to Contract #23-271, Construction Manager at Risk - Hurricane Ian Recovery - West County with Jon F. Swift Construction for the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in the amount of $2,034,533.52 for the restoration of various assets; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign Amendment #2.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. Hurricane costs are being collected in the Hurricane Fund. Funding is supplied from county general revenues, with anticipated cost sharing/reimbursement from insurance.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
On March 14, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners approved the ranking and beginning of negotiations of 23-271, Construction Manager at Risk - Hurricane Ian Recovery - West County with Jon F. Swift Construction to provide professional Construction Manager at Risk services as part of the Hurricane Ian Damage Recovery.
On October 24, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners approved Amendment #1 in the amount of $5,836,755.21 for repairs to various insured assts.
This Amendment establishes the scope and approval of the GMP-02, which means the maximum compensation to be paid by the County to the Construction Manager for the restoration of the following assets:
Ann and Chuck Dever Regional Park:
Rec Center Roof & Interior Finishes
Splash Pad/Pool Building
Tringali Park:
Library Painting and Roof Repairs
Recreational Center Vapor Barrier in Gym
Tom Adams Bridge:
Tender House
