Recommended Action:
a) Approve, on behalf of CHNEP, the ILA with Highlands County; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign the ILA; and
c) Authorize the County Administrator or his designee to sign associated work orders.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. Grant funding in the amount of $200,000 is included in the FY24 budget for 1026 CHNEP Fund. Grant funding will be provided by United States Environmental Protection Agency. There is no local match required.

Background:
This ILA is between Highlands County and Charlotte County on behalf of the Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership (CHNEP), to facilitate funding to and work by Highlands County in support of the CHNEP Annual Work Plan and Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan. This ILA is funded entirely from CHNEP funds.
