No action needed. Budgeted in the Public Works MSBU/TU Bridge Capital Maintenance Plan as approved in the FY24 budget process. Funding is supplied from Englewood East Street and Drainage MSBU and Gulf Cove Street and Drainage MSBU assessments, with funding split equally.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
It is the intent of Charlotte County to secure the services of a Contractor to furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and all other appurtenances required to successfully complete the required Englewood East/Gulf Cove bridge repairs on David Boulevard over Newgate Waterway (Bridge #014082) and Jennings Boulevard over Lafitte Waterway (Bridge #014088).
Therefore, it is recommended to approve award of Request for Bid #24-293, Englewood East/Gulf Cove MSBU Bridge Rehabilitations to Villa-Fuerte Construction, LLC of Arcadia, Florida for the total amount of $187,416.60.
Completion Time is 45 calendar days with Liquidated Damages of $1,170 per calendar day.
