b) Authorize the Chairman to sign Amendment #14 to Contract #12-050.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Capital Improvements Project "Stump Pass Monitoring" as approved in the FY24 budget process. Funding is supplied by Tourist Development Council, Boater Improvements Fund-Local, and Stump Pass Dredging MSTU ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This is for engineering services for a ten-year beach and inlet management program to include, but not limited to, alternative analysis, design, permitting, construction support, and monitoring, originally approved by the Board of County Commissioners on September 11, 2012. Amendment #14 is for several permit required services specific to the 2022 Stump Pass Dredging Project. Attached are the previous Amendments, the original contract, and this Amendment.

Amendment #1 - Additional review/assessment to obtain funding for damage to Stump Pass due to Tropical Storm Debby in the amount of $98,928.

Amendment #2 - 2014 Annual Monitoring in the amount of $139,851.

Amendment #3 - 2015 Annual Monitoring in the amount of $298,133.

Amendment #4 - Assistance in administration of the construction of the Erosion Control Project from award of bid through final acceptance by County and permit agencies in the amount of $658,337.

Amendment #5 - Extended monitoring required in accordance with permits for shorebirds and sea grasses (no change in amount).
